Day 7 Reflection; Andy's Leather Co.

32 Hour Week One Total: Throughout the course of my project, I have made significant progress and encountered various challenges. One notable achievement was the completion of a customized wallet for a fellow student, which involved seeking assistance from Spencer to laser engrave the design. While there are some minor finishing details to address, I am pleased with the outcome. Starting a small business single-handedly has proven to be a demanding endeavor, requiring me to take on multiple roles. However, I am determined to continue pushing forward, with my next steps including the production of more card holders and the completion of other ongoing projects. Another area of progress has been the development of my website, which has now reached a stage where it is presentable to a broader audience. I have been actively working on various art projects, both completing existing ones and embarking on new ones. Notably, I focused on finishing an old cutting board and a bag that had been in progress for some time. Additionally, I have been contemplating the number of pieces I aim to complete by the end of next week and deciding which artworks to showcase at Express Fest. These decisions will help me formulate a clear plan for the upcoming days. The journey of my project has taken me through different experiences and learning opportunities. I recall the origins of my passion for leatherwork, which began with a chance enrollment in Jill's recycled art class. Despite not considering myself particularly artistic, I delved into creating card holders from old materials, sparking the creation of my own art class. This journey has presented numerous challenges, such as sourcing suitable supplies in the absence of local stores. However, it has also been rewarding, as I have learned to overcome obstacles and embrace the process of bringing my artistic ideas to life. Overall, I have invested substantial time and effort into my project. Collaborations with mentors like Spencer and Jill have been invaluable in honing my skills and expanding my creative possibilities. The process of hand-stitching the wallet proved time-consuming but rewarding, as it allowed for a highly customizable end product. Additionally, I have dedicated time to establishing an online presence through my website, receiving guidance from Coach Rulli. As I continue on this journey, I am excited to see the culmination of my hard work and the growth of my small business
